Location: Loutra Oraias Elenis (Baths of Helen, in Greek) is one of the most beautiful seaside villages of Corinth. It took its name from the namesake hot spring which is located in the southern part of the ancient port of Corinth, where according to tradition, Helen, the queen of Sparta, was taking her bath (the fact that Sparta is about 144 km away probably was not an obstacle for the ancient queen!). In antiquity, the village was the port of the ancient city Soligias. Nowadays it is a popular tourist resort, mainly thanks to its beautiful beach and its proximity to Athens and to Corinth. Plenty of hotels and guestrooms are located in the area, as well as bars, quaint cafes, and taverns.
